Larry M. McDuffey, 42, of New Virginia died of a heart attack Wednesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Southtown Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sayre Cemetery at St. Charles.

Mr. McDuffey was born in Des Moines and moved to New Virginia 16 years ago. He was a retired construction worker, a veteran of the Army and a member of the Laborers Union.

Among survivors are his wife, Kathleen; two sons, Shane and Charles, and a daughter, Amee McDuffey, all of New Virginia; three brothers, Arthur of Murray, Alan of Des Moines and Garry of Fort Dodge; and two sisters, Tootie Villereal of Tucson, Ariz., and Bonnie Azinger of Des Moines.

Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 to 8 p.m.
