Frank Hines, 69, of Marne died of cancer Tuesday at Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic. The body was cremated, and memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Mullen Funeral Home in Atlantic. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in DeSoto.

Mr. Hines had lived in Des Moines many years before moving to Marne six years ago. He was retired custodian with the Des Moines school district.

He is survived by his wife, Janice; three sons, Roger and Kenneth, both of Des Moines, and Donald of Montgomery, Ala.; a daughter, Lorann Butz; and a brother, Charles both of Des Moines; a sister, Essie Mae Leak of Longview, Texas; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
