BESSIE CRAWFORD FUNERAL AT TRURO

Funeral services for Bessie Luella Crawford, of rural Truro, were held Monday after noon, July 12, at the Kale Funeral Home at Truro.

Mrs. Crawford died July 9 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. She was 64 years of age.

A daughter of James and Barbara Schaffer Sayles, she was born Jan. 19, 1907 at Pella, Iowa. She attended country schools, and graduated from New Virginia High School.

She was married to Keith Crawford on July 3, 1933 at Bethany, Missouri. She was a member of Broadhorn church near Truro.

Surviving are her husband, two sisters, Mrs. D. M. Alsup of Encampment, Wyoming and Mrs. Roy Woolery of Truro, and a brother Howard Sayles of Indianola.

She was preceded in death by two brothers Ernest and --------------

Officiating at the funeral Monday was the Rev. Richard Hempenius. Burial was in the St. Charles cemetery.
