Mrs. Cross Dies at Home

Was Wife of State Woodmen Manager

Mrs. Emma C. Cross, 59, died at her home, 1805 E. Ninth St., Tuesday evening after an illness of one week.

Mrs. Cross was the wife of L. O. Cross, state manager of the Modern Woodmen of America.

Funeral services are to be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Lutheran church, E. Ninth and Des Moines streets. Burial will be at Penn Center, Ia.

Active pallbearers will be Lyle Brown, W. S. Johnson, W. H. Bollenbacher, Elmer N. Amick, C. W. Henry and D. R. Guthrie.

Honorary pallbearers will be George N. Frink, Francis R. Korns, Harry O. Snow, Arthur Cully, Judge Frank B. Hallagan and Fred L. Morgan.

Mrs. Cross was a member of the Central Church of Christ; Hawkeye chapter, O.E.S.; U. S. Grant camp, 108, M.W.A.; Leech Rebekah lodge, and Daughters of the Nile. At the time of death she was state chaplain of the Rebekah assembly.

She is survived by her husband; a sister, Mrs. A. Cochrane, and a nephew, Hayden Houseworth, all of Des Moines.
