Margrette Nelson, 85, of Earlham died of a heart ailment Saturday at home. There will be a private service, and burial will be in Penn Center Cemetery.

Mrs. Nelson, a homemaker, was born in rural Madison County and had lived in Earlham all of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley; a son, Dean of Adel; two daughters, Judy Wallace of New York, N.Y., and Diana Playle of Des Moines; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Kuhn Funeral Home in Earlham is handling arrangements.
