MARCIA AUGSPURGER, ARIZONA

Marcia (Potter) Augspurger, 76, of Sun City West, Ariz., died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, after suffering from several chronic medical conditions.

Marcia was born March 15, 1935, in Madison County to John and Inus Potter of Patterson. She graduated from Patterson High School and attended Iowa State University in Ames, where she met her husband. She married Dr. Earl Augspurger Jr., of Bloomfield, on June 15, 1958, in Winterset. They retired in Sun City West, Ariz. in 2001.

Marcia's final act of caring for and uplifting others, was the gift of life to future generations, through the donation of her body for medical science research.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Betty Welch and Lois Estell, of Winterset.

She is survived by her husband, Earl; her daughter, Ann Bomgaars of Colorado Springs, Colo.; her son, Dr. John Augspurger of Colorado Springs; and three granddaughters.
