Maxine Lila Salsbury, 95, of the Western Home Communities in Cedar Falls, died Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls.

She was born at home in Daughtry, Iowa, the daughter of Richard Buss and Myrtle Annis Tucker Funnell. She married Jesse William Salsbury February 11, 1939 in Hampton, Iowa. He died March 26, 1992. She was employed at Farner Bocken Distributing for 15 years, retiring in 1981.

Survived by her daughter, Joan (Tom) Habetler of Lone Tree, Colorado; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and eight great- great grandchildren. Preceded in death by: one daughter, Sandy McCoy; grandson, Cory Leach; three sisters, Leone, Thelma, and Alice; three brothers, Orville, Charles, and Robert Funnell; and son-in-law, Milt McCoy.
