Raymond Guy "Shorty"  Clark, 91, of Van Meter, Iowa, died Saturday, August 13, 2011, at his home in rural Van Meter, Iowa. Funeral services will  be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, Iowa with Rev. Linda Stueve officiating. Burial will be in the McDonald-Chase Cemetery in Madison County, Iowa.
 
Shorty was born on June 5, 1920, in Madison County, Iowa to Walter & Alice (Vaughn) Clark .On June 5, 1940 he married Hazel Velma Davis at Macksburg, Iowa. He had been a lifetime resident of Madison County and farmed all his life in the Booneville and Van Meter area. Shorty had been a member of the United Methodist Church in Booneville.
 
Shorty is survived by his wife, Hazel Clark of Van Meter, son, Paul (Carole) Clark; daughters, Jean Brown, Janet (Bill) Callahan and Cheryl Clark; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. 
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter & Alice (Vaughn) Clark; and brothers Cecil Clark and Hubert Clark.
