Cynthia J. Winslow

Cynthia Winslow, daughter of Carl and Dorothea Marie Norris Sawyers was born August 3, 1953 in Des Moines, Iowa and passed from this life August 13, 2011 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa at 58 years of age.

Cindy received her education in the Winterset High School graduating in 1972. She was united in marriage to Robert John Winslow on June 20, 1998 at the family home in Warren County. Cindy and Rob were the parents of seven children.

Cindy worked as a Legal Assistant for several years at Peddicord and Wharton Law Firm. She was a member of the St. Charles Parish Church and enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, cooking and most especially spending time with her family and children.

Those relatives who preceded Cindy in death were her parents and a sister in infancy..

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Robert John "Rob" Winslow; children, Brittany, Shane, Sarah, McKenzie, Christina, Joe and Charlene Winslow all of New Virginia, Iowa; brother, Steve Sawyers of Winterset, Iowa, sister-in-law, Amy Sawyers of Winterset, Iowa, nephews, Jack Sawyers of Des Moines, Iowa, Nick Sawyers of Ames, Iowa, and Bryan Sawyers of Tennessee; father-in-law, John Winslow of New Virginia, Iowa, mother-in-law, Ann (Ernie) Poole of Alabama; as well as other relatives and many many friends.
