June 18, 1974 - June 14, 2011A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the Lorimor Community Building, Lorimor.
Memorial contributions may be made to Union State Bank in his name to be used toward an education fund for his children Stormy and Dakota.
Michael Joseph Holtry, Jr. was born June 18, 1974, the son of Michael, Sr. and Mary (Ross) Holtry. He graduated from Interstate 35 High School in Truro in 1993.
Michael worked at the Winterset Care Center North and South in housekeeping and laundry. He had also worked for United Van Lines and Des Moines Asphalt and Paving.
He liked NASCAR and being outside, especially hunting, fishing and chasing his kids around.
Michael passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at his home. He was 36.
He is survived by his life-partner, Jamie Breece of Lorimor; a daughter, Stormy Breece; a son, Dakota Daniel Holtry; his mother, Mary Holtry of Peru; a sister, Misty Holtry (Ron Trogdon) of Peru; and a niece, Emma Holtry.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Michael, Sr. and his grandparents.
