Funeral services for James W. Killam, 93, who farmed nine miles east of Greenfield, were held August 31 at Bickford-Murray Funeral Home in Greenfield.
Mr. Killam, known as 'Billie' died August 28 at his home farm.
A son of T. I. and Sarah Sophia Killam, he was born October 12, 1880 in Madison County near Van Meter. When he was eight years old, the family moved to Adair County.
On November 11, 1906 he was married to Bertha Gray who survives him. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Leinard of rural Greenfield and Mrs. Viola Handley of Ankeny, Iowa and four grandchildren.
The Killam's also raised a nephew, Fred Camp and his daughter Maryann.
Burial was in the Greenfield (Cemetery).
