St. Charles - JOSEPH HOFER

Josey Hofer, who lives east of town and who was accidentally shot while visiting with his sister near Des Moines Thanksgiving day, died at Mercy hospital last Wednesday. His remains were brought back here for burial last Thursday.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist church last Friday and his remains were laid to rest in the St. Charles cemetery.

COUNTY NEWS – ST. CHARLES

Josie Hofer, who was accidentally shot, while visiting his sister near Des Moines Thanksgiving, died at Mercy hospital last Tuesday morning. His remains were brought to his home here Thursday morning and funeral services were held at the M. E. church and interment in the St. Charles cemetery.

Mr. Hofer was a young man of sterling qualities, a man who was liked by all who knew him for his kind and jovial spirit. He will be missed in the home., the community, and the social side of life. We extend to the bereaved all that human heart can give sympathy and command them to one who is able to render sure and permanent consolation in these dark and trying hours.
