Page 1Death of Baby Velma Jeffryes
Baby Velma, the four and a half month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Jeffryes, died on Thursday morning, after a brief illness from cholera infantum. The little one had been in splendid health until about two weeks ago, when it was taken sick, becoming serious only a few hours before its death, which occurred early Thursday morning. Besides the parents, one brother is left, all of whom will greatly miss the little daughter and sister.
Funeral services were held on Friday at the home on West Hutchings street , conducted by Rev. M. M. Cable of the Methodist church, and burial made in the Winterset cemetery.
Sincere sympathy is extended the family, who have great comfort in the thought that “of such is the kingdom of Heaven.”
