Mrs. Dick McCauley of Winterset has received word of the recent death in California of her son, John Utsler. He died in a San Francisco Hospital December 26, after a brief illness.
Mr. Utsler is survived by his wife, Therese and four children, Bill, of San Diego, Calif., Jean and Charles of Chicago and Margaret of Detroit, Michigan. Also surviving are two stepsons and one stepdaughter and four grandchildren as well as two brothers, Joe of Peru and Merl of Carlisle and a half brother, Dick McCauley of Bloomington, Indiana. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 26 at the Grenger and Hays Funeral Home at Mountain View, California.
