J. D. Clanton left Monday of last week for Norwalk, California in answer to a message received earlier in the day announcing the death of his brother George of that place.
George was the son of the late Frank Clanton and was 67 years of age. He was born and raised in this vicinity, going several years ago to Norwalk, California, where he has since resided.
The funeral was held at that place on Friday and he was buried at a cemetery in Whittier where he had expressed a wish to be laid near the mountains.
The immediate relatives who survive him are a brother, J. D. Clanton and a sister, Mrs. J. D. Peffley, both of this place.
