Rites Held For Guy Wallace

Funeral services were held here this Monday for L. Guy Wallace of Mount Vernon, a former resident of the Macksburg and Winterset areas. Mr. Wallace died Tuesday, December 17, at the age of 83.

Mr. Wallace was born January 2, 1891 at New Market, Iowa, the son of C. M. and Mae Wallace. He was married to Hazel S. Trautwein on August 22, 1912.

Except for 37 years on California, most of Mr. Wallace's life was spent in Macksburg and Winterset areas.

He was a member of the Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge, Shrine and Odd Fellows Lodge.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Wallace is survived by sons: Chester M. Wallace of Mount Vernon, Russell L. of Pasadena, California, and Victor Wallace of Apple Valley, California.

Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Eva Pindell of Sacramento, California, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, December 23 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with Pastor Jack Eggers presiding.

Burial was in the Moon Cemetery in Macksburg.
