Chief Master Sgt., Lester Dale Busch, 74, died Jan. 20, 1995, at home in Colorado Springs.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Ave. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Swan-Law Funeral Home's Cascade Chapel. Entombment will be at Memorial Gardens, 3825 Airport Road.

Mr. Busch was born June 13, 1920, in Winterset, Iowa, to Louis and Ona (Burns) Busch. He was married Dec. 21, 1951, in New Mexico, to Lula Estella Lewis, who died in 1987.

Mr. Busch is survived by a three daughters, Pamela Petersma of Falcon, Patricia Gladstone of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Darlene Tomlin of Champagne, Ill.; five grandchildren; and longtime companion Cisco. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clinton.

Mr. Busch had lived in Colorado Springs area since 1926, when his family settled in Edison east of Colorado Springs.

He enlisted in the Air Force in 1942, serving in flight maintenance until he retired in 1966. He received several military decorations.

After retiring from the military, Mr. Busch owned Les' Sinclair service station on West Colorado Avenue. He also managed the airport parking facility and worked at Bill's Tool Rental. Mr. Busch enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pikes Peak Hospice, 3630 Sinton Road, Suite 302, Colorado Springs 80907; or to the Edison Volunteer Fire Department, 14550 Edison Road, Yoder 80864.
