Chelan, Wa. - Mabel L. Gordon, 92, a longtime resident of Chelan, died Tuesday, June 21, 1994, at her home following an extended illness.

She was born Nov. 13, 1901, to John B. and Ella (Pratt) Cornman, at Winterset, Iowa, where she attended school. At the age of 18, she moved to New York with her brother.

She married Everett Ralph at New York. Mr. Ralph died in 1941. She then moved to Wenatchee where she worked for Vic's Sandwich Shop and then Thrifty Drug. She returned to New York to care for her brother until he died. She then returned to Wenatchee.

She married John Gordon on May 31, 1954, at Wenatchee. They made their home in Chelan, where Mrs. Gordon worked as a cook for Dale's Sandwich Shop and then the Sand N' Surf until she retired.

She was a member of the Chelan Eagles Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, Wallace Ralph of Seattle; a stepson, Dick Gordon of East Wenatchee; a stepdaughter, Ruby Proffitt of East Wenatchee; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband in November 1993, a brother and a sister.

Arrangements are by Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan.
