Grace Maxine Kirkland, born June 23, 1909, in Macksburg, Iowa, died March 8, 1994.
She has one remaining brother and one sister living in Macksburg and Winterset, Iowa.
She was married to Ivan E. Younkin from Sept. 14, 1929 until his death Oct. 24, 1983. She graduated High School in 1928 in Macksburg. She lived most of her life in San Diego, Ca. She loved to fish more than anything else in life.
She will always be remembered for her spirited personality and fiery redheaded temper. But most of all for her love and compassion for others and never saying 'no' to anyone who needed help. She spent her last three and a half years in Stockton, Missouri.
She leaves behind her only child, daughter Donna L. Shirey of Stockton, Missouri, granddaughters, Carla M. Pratt of Stockton, Missouri and Phyllis L. Clere of Black Hawk, Colorado, three great grandsons, two great granddaughters and three great great grandsons.
Preceded in death by father, mother, four brothers, one sister, and her husband.
She leaves behind many friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
Graveside Services and Interment Wed. (today) 10:30 a.m. Greenwood Memorial Park.
