Claude J. Trawver Dies At 81 Years

Claude J. Trawver, former Winterset resident, died last Friday in Des Moines where he had lived for the past 51 years. He was 81 years of age.

Mr. Trawver was born in Paris, Illinois, but spent his early life in Winterset graduating from high school here.

Moving to Des Moines a half century ago, he engaged in the automotive supply business which he pioneered in that community. He was a Mason for fifty years and a member of the Plymouth Congregational church.

Surviving are his wife, Vera Trawver, a son, Jay J. Trawver of New York city, N.Y., a daughter, Mrs. Robert W. Arnold of Des Moines and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday from Dunn's Funeral home in Des Moines, with burial in Resthaven cemetery there.
