The funeral of Mrs. James Moore was held in the M.E. church Tuesday afternoon. The remains were laid to rest in the Peru cemetery. The services were conducted by L. B. Shannon.

Martha M. Sherer was born in Indiana, April 12, 1847, and departed this life at her home near Peru, Nov. 7, 1921 at the age of 74 years, 6 months and 26 days. She was united in marriage to James Moore, Dec. 25, 1867. To this union were born 8 children, all of whom survive her, except one daughter, Mary, who died at the age of 17 years. James Moore preceded his companion in death Nov. 18, 1915. There are left to mourn her loss four sons, three daughters, one brother, one sister, and 22 grandchildren.
