MRS. WM. A THOMAS

Olive R. Harrison was born near West Liberty, Iowa, March 10, 1860, and passed away at her home south of Macksburg, July 22, 1917, aged 51 years, 4 months and 12 days.

She was united in marriage to W. A. Thomas, Nov. 20, 1892. Six children were born to this union, one dying in infancy. She leaves to mourn her loss, five children: Walter of Davenprt, Mrs. Madge Livingston, Mamie, Earl and Leonard; one sister, Mrs. Emma Young of near Davenport and one brother, Guy, who lives at the old family home, besides many other relatives and a host of friends.

She was converted to the Christian faith in 1896 and united with the M. E. church at West Branch. The ladies' Aid and the church have lost a faithful worker and a true helper and friend. The funeral was held Tuesday, July 24th, at the house by her pastor, Rev. B. D. Sutton. The Woman's Relief Corps, of which she was a faithful member, also had part in the service, paying their last tribute to their departed sister. The pall bearers were six men who had gone to school to her when she taught her for some time before her marriage. We mourn the loss of such a good neighbor and friend, and extend sympathy to her family in this, their hour of trouble.
