Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Cole and Maud Mortuary chapel, 215 S. Washington St., for Wayne R. Chickering, 1002 E. Sunset, who died Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Phoenix.

The Rev. Loren Ridge, pastor of the United Methodist Church, will officiate.

Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mr. Chickering was born Dec. 18, 1911 in Villisca, Iowa. A resident of Casa Grande for 18 years, he had been in the appliance store business. He worked for FMC Corporatio (feed machinery) for five years. He retired some five years ago.

He and his wife, Clara Goodman, who survives him, were married Nov. 2, 1946 in Winterset, Iowa. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War II.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother, Jim Chickering, of Stanton, Iowa; his sisters, Darlene Glasscock and Janice Butterfield, both of Winterset, Betty Messerschmidt, of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Rose Luedeke, of Houston, Texas.
