RIO - Sherrow L. Kirk, 57, of Rural Route 1, died at 11:13 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 1992, at St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg.

Born Dec. 28, 1934, in Murray, Iowa, to Clayton and Bessie Shaw Kirk, he married B. Carolyn Miles on July 22, 1956, in Patterson, Iowa. She survives.

Also surviving are his father of Winterset, Iowa; two sons, Scott D. of Menasha, Wis., and Anthony J. of Chicago; two daughters, Cindy L. Hensley of Wataga and Tami K. Kirk of Peoria; five grandchildren; three brothers, Frank Kirk of New Virginia, Iowa, Charles C. Moore of Truro, Iowa, and Robert K. Moore of Pueblo, Colo.; and one sister, Darlene Jacobe of Mesa, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his mother, one sister and one granddaughter.

He was a machinist for the former Outboard Marine Corp. in Galesburg for 28 1/2 years. He worked for ROWVA School District for three years, retiring in June 1991. He was a member of Rio Presbyterian Church, Rio Masonic Lodge and Prairie Drifters Snowmobile Club. He served in the Army from 1953 to 1955.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Hinchliff-Pearson- West Chapel in Galesburg. The Rev. Jonathan B. Kipp will officiate.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the chapel, with Masonic services at 8 by his masonic lodge. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Galesburg.

Memorials may be made to the Cancer Care Unit at St. Mary Medical Center.
