MRS. SARAH E. BELLOWS DIES

Mrs. Sarah E. Bellows died on February 12th at the home of her son, Don C. Bellows in Mason City. She has been an invalid for the past four years and about two weeks ago she suffered a stroke which resulted in her death. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church Monday at 3 p.m. conducted by Rev. D. J. Shenton, assisted by Mr. E. H. Zeller.

Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Bellows came to Penn township in 1870 and moved to Winterset in 1883. She is survived by two children, Mrs. Olive Sprinkle and Don C. Bellows, both of Mason City.

Sarah E. Bellows

Sarah Elizabeth Cox was born in Ohio Sept. 16th, 1843 and departed this life at the home of her son, Don C. Bellows, in Mason City, Feb. 12, 1926.

Early in life she moved to Indiana where she was married to W. H. Bellows in July 1860. To this union was born seven children of whom three died in infancy. Early in their married life they moved to Northern Iowa. In 1870 they moved to Penn township where they resided until 1883 when they came to Winterset.

Mrs. Bellows united with the M. E. church early in life and was a faithful member during her lifetime although for a number of years she has not been able to attend church services. She was an invalid for the past four years and about two weeks ago she suffered a stroke which resulted in her death February 12th.

Two of her daughters, Mrs. Florence Stark and Mrs. Adda Blimpka, preceded her to the other world. She is survived by two children, Mrs. Olive Sprinkle and Don C Bellows, both of Mason City, Iowa. There are also ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, besides one brother, one sister and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Monday at 3 p. m. conducted by Rev. D. J. Shenton assisted by Mr. E. R. Zeller.
