Death of Orie Phillip Lowden

Orie Phillip, the three months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Orie Lowden, died early Monday morning after a short illness. The baby became ill Sunday with kidney trouble, and complication, and did not recover.

Rev. W. C. Porter conducted the funeral services Tuesday afternoon, at two o’clock, at the United Presbyterian church, and burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

The baby was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Lowden, and had been in the best of health until this final illness.

Orie Phillip, infant son of Orie D. and Zola Fern (Sandy) Lowden, was born November 16, 1927, and passed away the morning of February 6, 1928. The funeral was held from the United Presbyterian church Tuesday afternoon in charge of the pastor and Rev. A. P. Keast. “The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord.” The precious dust was laid away in the Rock City cemetery to await the morning of the resurrection.
