Funeral services for D. H. Chronicle who passed away early last week were held at the Christian church Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Mr. Barker in charge, assisted by Rev. Carnahan.
Relatives coming to attend the services were Mrs. Howard Sole, M. C. Lawrence and daughter Nellie and Mrs. Roy Lawrence of Des Moines, Charles Cochrane and family and Mrs. Bishop of Indianola, and Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Murphy of Truro and Rex Johnson and family of Winterset.
Burial was in the Hartman cemetery southwest of Truro beside his wife who preceded him in 1918. Several members of the I.O.O.F. of Winterset of which Mr. Chronicle was a member, attended the funeral and their burial ritual was given at the cemetery.

David H. Chronicle, 84, a resident of the county about 50 years, died Sunday evening at the home of W. S. Winters of St. Charles where he had made his home several years. Services were held Tuesday afternoon at the St. Charles Church of Christ conducted by the Rev. D. F. Barker; burial was in the Hartman cemetery southwest of Truro.
Mr. Chronicle had lived n South township and in St. Charles most of his life. His wife, who was Miss Amanda McPherson, member of a pioneer family of Ohio township, died several years ago. He was a member of the Baptist church and of the Winterset I.O.O.F. lodge. Mrs. Beulah Downs of St. Charles, is a foster child.
