John Arthur Little, son of Louie Bell Ellis and Arthur Little, was born in Guthrie County, Iowa on November 28, 1912.

He received his education at Lincoln No. 6 in Adair County, and at Stuart High School where he graduated in 1931. After finishing high school he lived in and around Earlham, and took radio signal core training in Des Moines.

He was united in marriage to Hazel Cox, September 29, 1932, and to this union four daughters were born. In 1942 he moved with his family to Chicago, Illinois where he lived and worked for 31 years. The daughters now married are: Mrs. Audrey Theodosia, of Martinville, Illinois; Mrs. Joyce Tanner of Kansas, Illinois; Mrs. Patricia Rowlen of Lyons, Illinois; and Mrs. Arnetta Sinacore of Cicero, Illinois.

Mr. Little passed away at the Michael Reese hospital in Chicago on May 28, 1973 at the age of 60 years and 6 months. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Hazel, 1523 Sparrow Ave., McIrose Park, Ill.; his four daughters and their husbands----
