Death of MRS. SILAS SHEELEY

Henry Imes of St. Charles has received word of the death, on May 4th, of his sister, Mrs. Silas Sheeley, at her home in Santa Monica, California.

Mrs. Sheeley, who was nearly 70 years old, was a resident of South township living for many years on the farm now occupied by T. E. Husted and owned by Mrs. Sheeley's daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Sheeley lived in Winterset for a number of years, until their removal out west. Santa Monica has been their western home, as well as their son, William. Mr. Sheeley, a veteran of the Civil War, survives, as does a daughter, Mrs. W. S. Fisher of North Dakota and the son just mentioned.

Mrs. Sheeley held membership in Pitzer W.R.C. During her residence here, continuing the same for several years after her removal. She possessed many warm friends who will be saddened by the news of her death.
