Death of SAMUEL JAMISON

Samuel R. Jamison's death occurred at his home in Lincoln township on April 6th, 1917, at the age of 60 years, following a heart failure.

Mr. Jamison originally came from Illinois, but moved to this county in 1913 from Pawnee, Nebr. He had been a loyal member of the United Presbyterian church since boyhood. Rev. W. J. Stewart assisted by Rev. Andrew Renwick of Illinois conducted the funeral services at the family home on Easter Sunday, with burial in the Winterset cemetery.

Mrs. Jamison and six children remain the latter being Mrs. Ethel Yoder of Alden, Iowa; Mrs. Jessie Silverthorne of Woodward, Iowa; Mrs. Mary Boyd of Debois, Nebr., and Ross, Payne and Rose at home. A brother, Wm. Jamison and a sister, Mrs. Andrew Renwick of Biggsville, Ill., also survive.

SAMUEL R. JAMISON

Samuel Rowland Jamison, son of Joseph and Jane Jamison, was born April 28, 1857, in South Henderson, Illinois. He was brought up on the farm to work and in the church to religious habits. In young manhood he made profession of his faith in South Henderson United Presbyterian church.

He was married on Nov. 30, 1881 to Miss Eliza Findley, a girl of splendid family in the same neighborhood. They made their home in South Henderson until the spring of 1897, when they removed to Pawnee county, Nebraska. In the spring of 1913 they removed to Madison county.

To this family were born Mrs. Ethel S. Yoder of Alden, Iowa; Mrs. Jessie Silverthorne of Woodward, Iowa; Mrs. Mary E. Boyd of DuBois, Nebraska; Ross R., Paul F., Rosie Jane, are at home; Harvey dying in infancy. Besides his wife and children he leaves to mourn his loss, a brother, William, a sister, Mrs. Mary M. Renwick, wife of Rev. Andrew Renwick of Biggsville, Ill.

The funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon at 2:30 conducted by Rev. W. J. Stewart, assisted by Rev. Andrew Renwick of Biggsville, Ill. Interment in Rock City cemetery.
