Dexter, IowaNina Alice Fleischer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hill of Dexter, was born in Madison County, Iowa, July 12, 1914, and died at Wichita Falls, Texas, May 18, 1963, at the age of 48 years, 10 months, and 6 days.
At the age of one year she was baptized in the Christian faith, and at the age of twelve she became a member of the Fairview Church south of Stuart.
On March 1, 1937, she was married to Leonard Fleischer at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Des Moines. To this union were born three daughters and one son.
About four years ago the Fleischers moved from Dexter to Wichita Falls, Texas, where they have since made their home.
Mrs. Fleischer assisted her husband in his work, and was a faithful wife and devoted mother. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, Leonard; three daughters, Mrs. Donald Culver and Mrs. Russel Parker of Wichita Falls, Texas, Mrs. Willis Sprunger of Earlham; and one son, James, in the Navy; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Hill of Dexter; three sisters, Mrs. Carl Metz of Madison, Wisc., Mrs. Clayton Scott of Dexter, and Mrs. Charles Piercy of Earlham; eight grandchildren, and a host of friends.
Funeral services were conducted May 21 at the Owens Brumley Funeral home by the Rev. Alfred Scholz of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Wichita Falls, Texas, of which she was a member. Interment was at Riverside Cemetery.
