Michael Iiams, son of Jesse and Mary Iiams, was born in Maryland, March 18, 1833 and departed this life Feb. 10, 1917, aged 83 years, 10 months and 22 days. In 1835 his parents removed to Ohio, where they resided until he was 22 years old, when they came to Madison county and settled on the farm which has since been his home.
He was united in marriage to Miss Celista Blanchard on May, 1865. To this union were born 12 children, two of whom have preceded the father in death. He leaves to mourn his departure, his aged companion, 10 children, 47 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a wide circle of friends.
The funeral was held at Madison Chapel church of Christ at 1 o'clock on Feb. 13th, conducted by Rev. White. Interment in Union cemetery.
