MRS. MARY WELSH CLINE

Mary Welsh was born near Fond du Lac, Wis., Oct. 28, 1853 and died Feb. 17, 1917, age 64 years, 3 months and 22 days. In the fall of 1877 she came to Winterset, Iowa, where she met and married David Cline, Oct. 25, 1878. To this union was born 4 children, a daughter dying in infancy, John and Nora at home and Roy at Earlham.

Since her marriage she has always lived near Winterset. She was taken sick last November, but had been able to be up all of the time until the last two weeks. Her death was caused by cancer of the lung. Her sufferings were intense at times, but she bore it uncomplainingly. All that loving hands could do was done to relieve her misery, but to no avail. Death came as a peaceful sleep.

Besides her husband and three children she leaves to mourn, a daughter in law, 3 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Julia Rogan, besides nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at St. Joseph's Catholic church Tuesday morning at 10:30, conducted by Rev. Father White. Burial in the Stringtown cemetery.
