July 14, 1953Red Lodge - Jesse Emerson Rehard, 72, Luther rancher, died Sunday in a Red Lodge nursing home after an illness of six years.
He was born Oct. 7, 1880, in Winterset, Iowa, and came to Montana in 1911, living near Shepherd. In 1926 he moved to Luther vicinity to ranch. He married Bertha Bunn in Hardin, Sept. 5, 1929.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. W.R. Thompson of Pasadena, Calif., Mrs. R.D. Russell, of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Ervin Tuttle of Kansas City, Mo., two sons, Emmett Richard of Billings, Ralph of Luther; two brothers, A.W. Rehard of Argo, Minn., and Wilbur Rehard of Bell, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Ira Come of Winterset; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services at Olcutt Funeral Home. Burial in John Henry cemetery.
