Page 12Death of MALLOY BOYLES
The funeral of Malloy Boyles of Des Moines, who died on last Wednesday, was held on Saturday morning from Ramsey's undertaking parlors, Rev. Burton conducting services at the grave.
Mr. Boyles was injured on Monday evening, blood poisoning resulting from a wound in his skull. He gave accounts during conscious intervals, of an assault by three thugs, who beat him and robbed of his watch and a large sum of money. His condition was so serious, physicians realized that his death was imminent and reported the case to the police.
Mr. Boyles was a retired farmer, 52 years old, and a brother of Mrs. A. L. Tullis, Mrs. Oren Bare and Mrs. Mary Seevers, all children of the late P. M. Boyles, a prominent pioneer of Madison county. Mr. and Mrs. Tullis and Mr. and Mrs. Bare accompanied the body here for burial in the Winterset cemetery
