Earl Wayne Cunningham, son of Roy and Matina Cunningham, came to brighten their home July 5, 1924, and came to his death by drowning, August 16th, 1927, aged 3 years, 1 month and 11 days. He was an affectionate child and was loved by all that knew him and will be greatly missed by all relatives and friends. He leaves to mourn his loss, his father and mother, and a little sister, Mertie May, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins and other relatives and friends.

The bereaved ones have the sympathy of the entire community in this their sad bereavement but their loss is his gain.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon, August 18th, at 2:30 o’clock at the Methodist church in Winterset by Rev. D. J. Shenton. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
