Dexter, IowaServices Held for W. O. Lyddon, 89
Dexter: Services were held Monday, June 27, 1966 at 2 p.m. at the Evans Funeral Home in Dexter for William Orville Lyddon who passed away at the age of 89 years, 10 months.
In charge of the services were Howard Anthony and David Leonardt. Music was provided by pianist, Mrs. William Vanloon and singers Ivan and Galen Vanloon. In charge of the flowers were Marjoire Carter and Mrs. Warren Carter.
Interment was at Penn Center Cemetery near Earlham. Pall bearers were Richard Lyddon, Marvin Lyddon, Carmen Lyddon, jr., Paul Vlieger, jr., and Cliel Lyddon.
OBITUARY
William Orville Lyddon passed away at the Madison Annex Nursing Home in Winterset, Saturday, June 25, 1966, at the age of 89 years, 10 months.
He was born near Lenox in Taylor County, Iowa, August 25, 1876, a son of William and Olive Page Lyddon.
He is survived by two sons, Wayne of Winterset and Carmen of Menlo; two daughters, Mrs. James (Dorothy) Vlieger of Winterset and Mrs. Warren (Eileen) Tabor of Minneapolis, Minn.; 19 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He also leaves two sisters. His wife and a son, Francis, preceded him in death.
