Death of JOHN STILES

The death of John Stiles at the age of 71, at Central City, Nebr., occurred on Wednesday evening, his sister, Mrs. Savannah McAndrew, leaving here for Omaha to meet the relatives who brought the body to Patterson for interment on Saturday.

Mr. Stiles had a stroke of paralysis two years ago followed by a gradual weakening of the brain until his death. He was one of a family of eleven children, all of whom grew to maturity, married and raised families of their own. Surviving him are two sisters: Mrs. Forney of Cherokee, Kansas, wife of Dr. Forney, formerly of this city and Mrs. McAndrew; and a daughter, Mrs. Emma Knight of Irvington, Nebr., and a son, Fred, with whom he made his home. The late Mrs. Stiles was a sister of Wiley and Charles Crawford.

Mr. Stiles lived for many years near Patterson and Bevington.
