Mrs. John Simpson died at her home north of town last Saturday, after a very short illness. On Saturday, the 18th, she was in town and just one week from that date, she was dead.

Mrs. Simpson has lived here for a good many years. She was 71 years, 7 months and 11 days of age. She leaves to mourn her loss, her aged husband, two sons and one daughter: Jim of this place, Sam of Des Moines and Mrs. McKinney of near Patterson.

Funeral services were held in the M. E. church, conducted by Rev. A. E. George of Cambridge.
