SUE GOEDEN, Winterset

Sue Goeden, 67, of Winterset, formerly of Knoxville, died Thursday, January 6, 2011 at West Bridge Care & Rehabilitation in Winterset surrounded by her family, close friends, and a prayer chain that reached overseas started by Amy. Her body has been cremated with the family planning a memorial service for early spring.

Sue was born on September 26, 1943, at Tampa, Florida to Albert & Anna (Beltze) Bovee. She lived in Winterset the past 12 years having come from living with her daughter and grandson in Knoxville. She had worked at McDonald's Restaurant for many years until she retired.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Ann (Brian) Bird of Knoxville; brothers, Allen Bovee, Gary Lee Bovee, and Danny Bovee; sister, Kathy F. Bovee of Davenport; grandchildren, Kerrie Ann, Chrystal Kay, Kinina Marie, Kayla Lynn, and Christopher (Chris) Lee Joseph; step grandson, James; and special friend, Kayla. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Albert & Anna (Beltze) Bovee; and sister-in-law, Judy Bovee.

The family would like to thank the staff and their family members of West Bridge Care and Rehabilitation for their kind and loving care Sue received while residing there. Memorials may be directed to her family.

Arrangements are being handled by McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset.
