St. Charles

Mrs. H. E. Banta, who has been very poorly for several years, died at her home in St. Charles last Tuesday evening. She had a light stroke early last Tuesday morning from which she never regained consciousness.

Funeral services were held here in the Christian church last Friday, conducted by Rev. Gans, a former pastor here, and her remains were laid to rest in the St. Charles cemetery west of town. She was 58 years old, and leaves a husband, four daughters, and two sons. All of the children were present at the funeral except Floyd, who is now in California.
