E. W. Stiles of 1522 Locust street, Des Moines, died on Friday, November 26th, at the age of 80 years.

In early days Mr. Stiles lived in the east part of this county and operated saw mills near Patterson and St. Charles. He was distantly related to the late Thos. W. Stiles, one of the early settlers of the Patterson neighborhood.

The body was brought here and burial made at Union Chapel on Sunday.
