Page 1The people were shocked to hear late Thursday night of the sudden death of Mrs. Lloyd H. Clark at her home on West Summit street. About 9:30 o’clock neighbors heard her call, and when they entered the home she was having a convulsion from which she soon died. The doctor stated that uremic poisoning caused her death. Mr. Clark, who is a traveling salesman for the Winterset Monument Co., was at Derby at the time of his wife’s death.
Mrs. Clark was born and raised in Madison county. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. V. F. Taylor, and has resided in Winterset since her marriage to Mr. Clark, four years ago. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Constance and Colleen, her father and mother, and three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. F. Clare McCallon at the Church of Christ Sunday afternoon. More details of her life may be found in the mortuary column.

Page 3Dorothy Ruth Clark, daughter of V. F. and Maggie Andrews Taylor, was born in Jackson township, Madison county, April 20th, 1906, and died at her home in Winterset about 10 o’clock Thursday evening, August 19th, 1926, at the age of 20 years, 3 months and 29 days. She became suddenly ill after retiring and death came soon after.
Her entire life was spent in this county, where she received her education in the rural schools, later attending the Winterset public schools. She was married to Lloyd H. Clark on August 19th, 1922, her passing occurring on the fourth anniversary of their marriage. To this union two daughters were born, Constance, age three years, and Colleen, age eight months.
In February, 1921, with her sister, Irma, she was converted and became a member of the Winterset Church of Christ. She was the oldest of a family of six children. She was very devoted to her family, a loving wife, and an affectionate mother. She possessed a happy disposition and was a young woman of unusual ability as a homemaker and a companion.
She leaves to mourn her early passing, her husband, two little daughters, mother and father, three sisters and two brothers, besides many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. F. Clare McCallon, at the Church of Christ at 2:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon and interment made in the Winterset cemetery.
