Peru News

James Emerson, better known as Dame, who has been seriously sick for many months, passed away on Friday morning. He was conscious until the last. His family were all by his bedside when the messenger came and released the tired body from pain. The family have the sympathy of their many friends in their hour of sorrow.

Funeral services were held at the Christian church, of which he was a member, Sunday at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Follansbee. The body was interred in the Peru cemetery.
