Rufus Campbell Ulery, son of David and Sarah Ulery, was born Jan. 11, 1848 in Washington county, Pennsyslvania and died Aug. 26, 1915, aged 67 years, 7 months, 12 days. The funeral was held Sunday August 29th at the Webster M. E. church and burial was made in the Roberts cemetery.
He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Donna Ramsey of Webster; one son of Great Falls, Montana; 7 grand children and a host of friends.
Mr. Ulery was a merchant at Webster. He came to Iowa when 17 years of age, and except for a few years spent in Montana, this has been his home. He was a stone mason by trade. He was a member of the Masonic lodge of Great Falls, Montana. He was converted when 17 years old and has always stood for those principles that make for Christ-like virtues. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Grigsby.
