LYNN CLUTTER, PATTERSON

Lynn Clutter, 69, of Patterson, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with Pastor Junior Morgan officiating. Burial will be in the Reading Cemetery at Farnhamville, Iowa.

Lynn was born on May 26, 1941, at Lake City, Iowa, to Paul and Mildred (Morgan) Clutter. Lynn was a graduate of the former Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa, and started out his career as a high school math teacher. He also worked for Meredith Publishing in Des Moines as a computer systems analyst, and later as a security guard for Terrible’s Lakeside Casino in Osceola. He lived in Winterset for a few years before moving to Patterson and living there for 30 years. He had served as the Mayor of Patterson for several years. He was previously married to Marla Woolums and Jean Clark.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mildred (Morgan) Clutter.

He is survived by his children, Paul Sherman Clutter of Earlham, Jeffrey Vernon Clutter of Indianola, Angela Marie Clutter of Patterson, and Jeri Rae Alvarez of Baltimore, Md.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be Thursday from noon to 8 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorials may be given to his family for a future designation.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset.

Lynn Clutter, 69, of Patterson, Iowa, died on Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 31, at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, Iowa. A committal service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Reading Cemetery outside Farnhamville, Iowa.

Lynn had worked for Meredith Publishing before they closed and later as a security guard at Terrible's Lakeside Casino.

Lynn is survived by his children, Jeri Rae Alvarez of Baltimore, MD, Paul Sherman (Mary Kay) Clutter of Earlham, Jeffrey Vernon (Melody) Clutter of Indianola, and Angela Marie Clutter of Patterson; eleven grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Thursday at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home from noon to 8 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to his family for a future designation.
