Oscar M. Dallas Osborn was born in New York State July 9, 1844 and died July 29, 1915 on his farm near East Peru. The funeral was held at the East Peru M. E. church and burial at the Peru cemetery, Rev. R. G. Clark officiating, assisted by Rev. Paul M. Hillman.
The surviving relatives are one daughter, Mrs. Josie Whitlow of Winterset; two sisters, Mrs. Helen V. Salter of New York and Mrs. Edna Young of East Peru and two brothers; Chester Osborn of Missouri and Charley Osborn of Barney.
The deceased had lived alone since the death of his mother, a number of years ago. He died on his farm near East Peru, on which he had lived for 45 years. He came to Iowa from Abingdon, Ill., in 1870.
