Was Early Settler and Old Time School Teacher in South Township.
James McCloskey, a long time resident and highly esteemed citizen of the Saint Charles community, passed away on Thursday of last week at the age of 79. Mr. McCloskey was a fine character, a gentleman of the old school in the best sense of that term. For years he taught country school. He served his township and his community to various capacities. Honest, kind, affalable, he exemplified a type of citizenship that meant much to South township.
