O. M. Horton of St. Charles, passed away on the 15th. He had been in poor health for a long time and his death was not unexpected. In his passing St. Charles loses an honored and respected citizen. He was for many years postmaster at St. Charles and until overtaken by ill health and advancing years, was prominently identified with the affairs of that community.

_______________________Coordinator's note: There is a very lengthy obituary appearing on page 12 of the June 23rd edition of the Winterset News. It says nothing of genealogical value except that he was a member of the Masons, Eastern Star, G. A. R. and Odd Fellows.
