LULU IRENE MAHAN

Lulu Irene Mahan, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mahan was born December 8, 1909 and departed this life June 18, 1915, aged 5 years, 6 months and 10 days. After an illness of only a short duration.

All that loving hands could do was done, but the brittle thread of life was very tender, and God, our Heavenly Father reached forth his hand and plucked from earth another of his fair and beautiful flowers, where transplanted by his care will bloom in a fairer world of light. She leaves to mourn their loss, father, mother, grandparents and a host of relatives and friends. She was a patient little sufferer and death came as a relief from pain. The entire community join in the expression of sympathy to the bereaved ones.

Funeral services were conducted from West Star church Sunday afternoon, June 20th, at two o'clock by the Rev. Robt A. Grigsby, pastor, in the presence of a large number of people who came to pay their respects. Interment was made in the cemetery in Winterset.
